IoT Forum on Manufacturing and Automation

IoT Forum on Manufacturing and Automation

The IoT Forum is focused on discovering innovation, exchanging knowledge, growing professional networks, and above all building partnerships across the entire IoT ecosystem.

IoT Forum members meet monthly in Silicon Valley to discover new companies and technologies, meet partner prospects in person, review market opportunities across the wide spectrum of connected things, and deep dive into a specific segment with the help of buyers and experts. This month, we are focused on Innovation in Manufacturing and Automation.

Join the tech scouts from telecom companies, industrial vendors, system integrators, and IoT investors to explore the innovation and opportunity for IoT across manufacturing and automation. Starting with a customer case study that introduces a new product, its technology, and its customer, attendees will also have time to meet interesting IoT startups, explore product demo tables, network with IoT Forum members and participate in our interactive panel discussion with experts in IoT in manufacturing.

From the first connected device to a multi-layered network of sensors, analytics, AI, and visual reports, and actuators to react to decisions, connected "Things" are being deployed in industry. Together they are helping drive the 4th Wave of the Industrial Revolution, where real-time intelligence enhances productivity, cuts waste, and improves impact on the environment.

Industries are using IoT to:

  • measure and manage inputs
  • operations
  • spoilage
  • theft
  • environmental conditions
  • customer demand
  • orders
  • provisioning
  • production
  • maintenance
  • logistics
  • shipping
  • and more...

The number of potential use cases in industries beyond manufacturing is also vast - with deployments in predictive and remote maintenance, smart metering and smart grid, connected logistics, warehousing, distribution centers, freight, oil and gas, health and medical, to name but a few! Add AI to the equation and the need for human intervention could be eradicated.

Our guests from the manufacturing segment will share their thoughts on the opportunities for IoT in automation. Then, we will get their insight on what buyers need - from connectivity and devices to analytics and cloud services.
