The ComTech Forum meets in March on the topic of Wireless Infrastructure. ComTech Forum meetings are short, packed, interactive discussions with highly-focused networking and plenty of demos.
ABOUT THE MEETING TOPICWith 5G, networks are likely to change a lot in terms of their design, equipment, and topology. But many of the changes in networking are coming regardless of 5G, and some are even being implemented in 4G networks. Today’s meeting is focused on any significant changes in network design, whatever generation. We expect to discuss, and hear from innovators in:As data subscribers use more and more data, and service providers leverage Cloud Computing, the demand for power in the networks continues to grow. But modern solutions are revolutionizing network operations, and chilling the cost of electricity, offering a more efficient network with a smaller carbon footprint:
The main thrust of these new architectures is to decouple the radio frequency (RF) and baseband processing functions, which were normally collocated in the BBU (Building Baseband Unit). By splitting them apart, we can scale up, and manage a growing number of cell sites more efficiently, and often using less energy.
Our meeting will welcome network operators, Tier 1 and other established vendors, innovators and entrepreneurs with new solutions for the modernization of cellular networks and the wireless infrastructure.
WHAT TO EXPECT Monthly ComTech Forum meetings gather communications industry professionals who represent vendors, telcos, investors and startups focused on innovation. This month's meeting is a Deep Dive - a condensed ½ day agenda with 3 networking breaks, facilitated networking and introductions, interactive discussion, technology demo tables, and rapid fire startups pitches.
