Emmanuel graduated as an Aerospace Engineer from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de l’Aeronautique et de l’Espace (Toulouse, France) and also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Toulouse University. Emmanuel spent most of his career in the Space division of Airbus (formerly Astrium), occupying various positions in spacecraft design and engineering, spacecraft flight operations, program management and sales. Emmanuel has occupied positions in Europe, Asia and Africa. More recently he has been focusing on business innovation for space systems. Emmanuel is now in charge of commercial space activities for Airbus Defense and Space Inc, the U.S. affiliate of Airbus Defence and Space. He is based in the San Francisco Bay area since 2015.

Telstra Ventures plans to complete ~6-8 new investments (typically $5M to $15M investments) plus follow-on investments per year. Mark was previously a General Partner at Hidden Lion Partners, an emerging growth equity firm focused on technology-enabled services. Prior to this he was a General Partner at Battery Ventures where he led the firm’s enterprise IT and India investment practices with investments in Coupa, Mformation, Neoteris, and Tejas. He also served as Managing Director at Robertson Stephens & Company, where he ran its software investment banking practice working with companies such as BEA, HNC, Informatica, JD Edwards, Quest, and Siebel. Mark received his MBA from Harvard Business School and BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Pete Thompson, originally a Mechanical and Production engineer, with the Ministry of Defence, moved into a more commercial business area running a manufacturing facility for Electrolux in the UK for almost 10 years, before transferring to Electrolux in Sweden for 5 years being responsible for International sales. Thereafter a Commercial Director for a UK sales and service company. In October 2003 Pete founded Invisible Systems, a technology company developing and supplying wireless IoT solutions for various industries, starting with clients in the food industry monitoring and reporting conditions for compliance and environmental/energy saving etc. Invisible Systems now have installations all over the world in a wide range of industries, reporting compliance, savings and critical assets from their Realtime Online web platform. Invisible Systems are proud to have won the BT Infinity Lab IoT competition in July 2017. BT went to the market globally for applicants to enter into an IoT competition, over 90 companies entered, we are looking forward to working with BT in the future in the IoT space.

Together with his team, Viatte established Pirates Hub, the innovation hub of Swisscom, for the targeted promotion of innovation within the company. In this open innovation model, collaborations with startups like Mila played a key role. Under Viatte's leadership, Swisscom Friends (techies that help Swisscom customers in the neighborhood with tech installation and troubleshooting) was launched in collaboration with Mila: www.swisscomfriends.ch After the success of Swisscom Friends, Viatte is now driving Mila's international expansion with customers like Orange, Telstra, Conrad Electronic, Vodafone and innogy. Sebastien Wickert is the Head of External Innovation and Partnerships at Winnovation, the Silicon Valley outpost of Bouygues. Bouygues (http://www.bouygues.com/en/) is a French conglomerate and amongst the top 40 enterprises in France with diversified activities around the world in construction, real estate, energy, media, telco and transportation. Bouygues’ revenue in 2016 was $35 billions. Sebastien is responsible for sourcing and structuring strategic partnerships, primarily in the startup community. While identifying the potential disruptions that could affect the Bouygues Group in the short term and the long-term, he recommends and implements strategies with partners within different divisions inside Bouygues to solve direct problems or generate new business. Sebastien has created more than 16 partnerships in the past four years, ranging from negotiating with a US-based wearable company to launch their product in Bouygues Telecom’s retail stores throughout France, to deploying drones on quarries for land surveying and analyzing market share of new road construction using AI on satellite imagery. Sebastien has been with Bouygues for more than a decade and has been representing Bouygues in Silicon Valley for the past seven years.
